Organizations
Of the 30 organizations on campus, there are religious, special interest, governmental and departmental. Depending on your interest, contact the sponsor and find out more about the group and when they meet. You can also come by the Student Activities Office and we will give you more information about the group. Click Here for a list of on-campus organizations.

Student Senate

There are several ways to be come involved with the Student Senate:

• Run for an office-You first fill out a petition for office that is available in the Student Activities Office. Elections are held in September for Freshman Officers and in March for Student Senate and sophomore Officers.
  
  
• Sign up for a committee: Student Senate has several committees including Homecoming, Publicity and Promotion, Environmental, Elections, Hospitality and Decorations. Committee forms are available in the Student Activities Office.
  
  
• Come to a meeting:
  Student Senate meets every ‘Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. in the White Administrative Service Board Room. The only exception is the first Tuesday when we are in the Apache Rooms.

Attend an event: Events dates are available on line or through the Student Calendar.

Want to form your own group? Organizational Recognition forms are available in the Student Activities office and we will be glad to go through the simple procedure with you.

Why should I get involved? The primary reason for getting involved is for fun and to meet other students. There are a lot of other reasons including good practical work experience, resume building, and to increase your satifaction with your college experience.
