Greeting to the Student:
Welcome to Govt.2305. We will take a journey through American government and attempt to answer the following questions: What kind of government did the framers set up? How did they attempt to balance government powers? What do the 3 branches of government do? What impact does the media, special interest groups and political parties have on this government? Is this the best kind of government we need today to meet our needs? What changes does it need? How can you make and impact on it?

Teaching Philosophy:
To instill in students an appreciation for their country and its government by encouraging them to understand how it was set up to work, how it really works and what they can do to impact it through voting and becoming informed citizens.

Method of Evaluation of Students:
Four tests and a Final Exam
