As the starting point of your higher education experience TJC will provide the foundation for life-long learning. I wish you the very best. Teaching Philosophy: I believe learning is a life long activity. Therefore I try to teach the student the process of learning as well as the course content. I use objective and essay questions on my tests and encourage as much writing as possible. The process of education requires the teacher to provide opportunities for the student to do the learning. Method of Evaluation of Students: I usually give four tests composed of objective and essay questions. I offer many opportunities for outside work to supplement the test grades. I am a strong believer in the concept of learning by writing. Professional Associations: I am a member of the Texas Community College Teachers Assn. I have served on the Executive Board and almost every committee. I have been twice nominated for State Leadership once for Treasurer and once for President.
