Experience:
I have 30 years combined experience to include teaching, clinical practice in intensive care units and oncology, management experience as a practice administrator and out patient manager, and experience as a student in post masters and doctoral level course work. I am currently an ICU nurse at ETMC Tyler as well as clinical instructor at TJC.

Teaching Philosophy:
I believe all students are to be respected and given their dignity as individual human beings. I believe teaching and learning is a dynamic and interactive life long process involving interaction with people, printed resources, media resources, and experiences. I believe as a teacher it is my responsibility to facilitate and empower students to learn and to think critically. This is accomplished in part by holding students to a high standard and helping them assume personal initiative and responsibility for the process of learning. I believe it is also critical as a nursing instructor that I role model the professional behaviors and standards students are expected to exhibit upon graduation.
