| Apache Access Basics | This workshop engages participants in learning about the different aspects of Apache Access given their role at Tyler Junior College. It identifies main features available to all employees of TJC and how to customize its contents. | | Excel 2007 Basics | This workshop covers the basics of working with this spreadsheet software, including how to enter and format your data, building a chart, sorting data, and developing a basic formula. | | Excel 2007: Creating a Grade Book | This workshop is designed to assist faculty members in creating an electronic grade book based on their class rolls. Formatting and formulas to calculate grades are addressed in detail. Faculty members walk away with a functioning grade book on their USB drive. | | Excel 2007: Creating Charts & Graphs | Participants will learn to create, format, and customize charts and graphs using data in Excel 2007. | | Excel 2007: Sorting Data & Using Filters | Participants will learn to use a variety of techniques to sort data, apply filters to data to view only what they wish to view, and generate basic reports. | | GroupWise Client | In this workshop, learners engage in activities to explore the functionality of the desktop version of the Tyler Junior College email and calendaring system to more fully utilize the capabilities of the system. | | GroupWise WebAccess | Participants in this workshop learn how to access, use, and customize their GroupWise email and calendar system through the web interface. | | Office 2007 Basics | This workshop is offered to employees who are new to Office 2007. It identifies common aspects of all Office 2007 applications and how to use them. | | Open Session | Need help now? Bring your current projects and questions to LRC-5 (second floor of the Vaughn Library) to have Kristin take a look and help you out. More complicated projects and questions may require an individual session. No pre-registration required. | | PowerPoint 2007 Basics | In this workshop, participants learn the fundamental aspects of presentation software, including adding and customizing slides; working with text, pictures, and charts; and adding a theme. | | PowerPoint 2007: Adding Transitions & Animations | In this workshop, participants will learn to add life to their presentations with transitions and animations. | | PowerPoint 2007: Vocabulary Quizzes | This faculty-centered workshop teaches members of the instructional community how to create a vocabulary quiz presentation that can be used throughout a course utilizing a powerful quizzing technique developed by Dr. Lee Jenkins. | | Publisher 2007 Basics | This workshop teaches learners the basic techniques of working with this desktop publishing software and how to use and customize the templates. | | Word 2007 Basics | Participants in this workshop learn how to create, save, and format a document. They work with fonts, paragraph and line spacing, headers and footers, margins, and themes. | | Word 2007: Using the Comments Feature | In this workshop, participants learn how to use the Comments feature to electronically collaborate with others, in a conversational manner, within the document itself. | | Word 2007: Working with Mail Merge | Participants will learn to work with the Mailings Tab in Word 2007 to create a form letter and mailing labels using Excel data files. |
