FYI: It is very important to have your financial matters in order when you are filling out your application.
A. If you are paying with financial Aid:
-
Fill out your Financial Aid early
-
Make sure that you have all the paperwork that Financial Aid needs to award you
-
Once you have been awarded Financial Aid contact the Residential Life and Housing Office immediately and make sure that we have all your information
-
Placement will not happen until all your Financial Aid is in order and we have received confirmation from Financial Aid.
B. If you are paying out of pocket, the sooner you get it in, the better your chances are of getting a space on-campus. Please call the office at 903-510-2345 to be able to have charges added and we will forward you to the Cashier’s Office at 903-510-2516 to make the payment.
Financial Aid Information
-
If you are planning on using financial aid to pay for housing, you must have your financial aid award letter signed, received and placed on your account by the Financial Aid Office at Tyler Junior College before the deadline for the semester you are applying for. If this has not been done, Residential Life cannot review your status to determine whether or not you will have sufficient aid in your account to pay for housing.
APPLY AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE TO AVOID MISSING THE DEADLINE
-
If you do not get confirmed into a resident hall, you may request to be placed on a waiting list or be refunded half of the deposit and full housing payment. You must submit your intent in writing with your name and Social Security Number to Residential Life by the 12th class day of the current long semester.
