KINE 1141 Special Topics - Horsemanship
The objective of the KINE 1141 / 005 Special Topics in Lifetime Activities (Horsemanship) course is to provide the student with appropriate instruction to introduce and/or enhance ones understanding and skill associated with the proper execution of horseback riding techniques, safety principles for horse and rider, and proper care of the horse and equipment.
This course will explore practice, etiquette, safety, and strategy, associated with functional horsemanship. Discussion topics will include the basic principles and function of the role of recreation in a healthy and active lifestyle. The course will be taught predominately at Camp Tyler, approximately 10-15 minutes from the TJC campus.
