Dear Prospected Vascular Student, Thank you for your interest in the Advanced Skills Certificate in Vascular Technology (ASCVT). Information regarding the application process, admission deadline, and curriculum are enclosed. The ASCVT has selected and limited enrollment. It is imperative that you complete the application process and submit the appropriate paperwork by November of each year. Each application will be reviewed and selected by the DMS Admission Committee. You will be notified by letter, if you have been selected for the ASCVT program after November 29th. Vascular Technology Information The Advanced Skills Certificate in Vascular Technology (ASCVT) is an option for all graduates from the TJC/DMS program, and credentialed sonographers. All applicants must submit an application by November, once accepted classes begin in January of each year. All applicants will be reviewed and selected by the DMS Admission Committee. The formal instructions of didactic and clinics is a four month certificate. Graduates will be eligible for the ARDMS registry examination in Vascular Technology and Vascular Physics. Application Information - Copy of your current transcript by January. (all applicants)

- TJC Admission Application (first time TJC students only)
- TJC Allied Health and Nursing Admission Application (first time TJC students only)
- All applicants must be credentialed or registry eligible by the ARDMS or CCI
- Student Profile
Class Information: - Enrollment is limited, all applications are reviewed and selected by the DMS Admission Committee
- Classes begin in January of each year and end in May.
- Didactic: Tuesday and Thursday, Pirtle room 350
- Clinical: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
- Phone registration begins, November for all eligible students (pre-approval required)
Tyler Junior College DMS Graduates only: Ineligibility for the ASCVT - Probation during the DMS program (see DMS Department Chair for details).
- Suspension for 2 days or more.
- “F” in any Practicum rotation.
