What if you need to take a course that is not being offered by TJC in the current semester or what if all the sections offered for that course are full?  What can you do?

You can call or come by the Distance Education office, and we will check to see if we can find your course through a statewide consortium of more than 50 colleges, known as the Virtual College of Texas (VCT). More than 200 individual courses are available that way. You can find them listed on the VCT web site.

Here's the cool part.  If we find your course offered at another VCT college, then you can get advised, register, and pay for the course with us. You can take your exams at our Testing Center or another approved testing location. You will have access to all of our support and library services. And finally, your grade comes back to us and appears on your TJC transcript.  Painless.
