Teaching Philosophy: Learning is best accomplished through experience. Providing educational experiences whenever possible helps students retain course information, and my goal is to offer those opportunities. Students have life experiences to share, and I encourage an atmosphere that includes input from and interaction among the students.
Greeting to Students: Welcome to Tyler Junior College! What an honor it is for me to share this college journey with you. TJC is an incredible institution of higher learning, and I hope that you will wholeheartedly delve into your academic studies and into our campus life. Participate in class discussions, ask questions, study, and get connected with our student activities. Know that I am here to help make your college experience a very beneficial one in the classroom. I will challenge you to learn the course content covered in my courses, but I will also help you learn. Together, our lives will be changed!
Method of Evaluation: Chapter quizzes and exams are administered. In Business English, a weekly spelling test is given. For Medical Office Procedures, a simulation, and job shadowing is required which accounts for two of six exam grades.
